| This is my fourth year teaching at Polser Elementary. I was a student teacher at Polser so this has always felt like home to me. The students, parents and staff are all so wonderful and supportive. |
| I moved to Texas from Illinois in 1994 and have lived in Carrollton ever since. I have been married to my husband, Chris, for eighteen years. We have two sons, Zack & Aaron. Zack is a junior at Hebron and Aaron is a seventh grader at Killian MS. After raising my family I went back to college to become an elementary school teacher. I graduated, with honors, in 2005 from Texas Woman's University. I am ESL certified and have completed all levels of LISD's computer competencies which have allowed me to receive a classroom projector, laptop, document camera, ten classroom computers and a CPS (Class Performance System) unit. In 2007 our class was awarded the model technology classroom grant. We have received a Smartboard (interactive whiteboard), with Airliner Slate as well as four digital cameras. This year I, along with two fellow teachers, was awarded a grant for 15 mini-laptop computers. I am looking forward to utilizing this great technology source this year. All of this awesome technology has been a great experience for me and for all of the students. |
| Polser has become a very big part of my life and I wouldn't have it any other way. When I'm not at Polser I am spending time with my family and dog, Katie. We have a busy family life with most evenings and weekends filled with school activities, travel ice hockey and football. We run around a lot but love every minute of it!
