Accelerated Reader
The Accelerated Reader Program is an independent reading program that allows students to select books in their reading range. After completing the book, the student takes a multiple choice test on the computer. Points are given for each correct answer. Our PTA rewards students who have reached predetermined levels each 6 weeks at the Eagle Awards.
The Star Reader is a progam we use to determine what each student's independent reading range is. The Star Reader test is given at the beginning of the year and again at the beginning of the 2nd semester. Books are colored coded for easier selection.

Remember that the local public libraries have our AR Title list. They can help you find many good books. AR books can be from our library, the public library, your home or classroom. It is important to check to see if it is the original version of the book and if the reading level is in your range!
