Course Introduction Middle school math will help develop a student’s ability to solve problems and reason logically. The Math 6 curriculum is designed to build upon and expand students’ knowledge of numbers, computation, estimation, measurement, geometry, statistics, probability, patterns, functions, and algebraic concepts through a problem solving approach. Concrete manipulatives, games, and technology, which enhance concept development and problem solving, will be incorporated when possible. Finally, classroom activities will provide students the opportunity to work both independently as well as cooperatively in small groups. I look forward to working with students in a productive and fun-filled year.
