Please dress your children in appropriate school clothes. We do go outside daily. |

Children should bring a backpack daily. It should be large enough to hold a normal-sized folder. |

School begins at 8:00 A.M. all students are considered tardy at 8:01 A.M. Please do not be late! Students may arrive as early as 7:30 and wait in the cafeteria until the bell rings. There will be teachers on duty in the cafeteria and will dismiss the children. |

Please send a note indicating any changes in the way your child gets home. If I do not have a note, your child will be sent home their usual way. |

I encourage your child to come to school each day. Kindergarten work is hard to make up. We do many hands-on activities that can not be made up. However, If your child is ill please keep them home. When your child is absent, please call the office and inform them of the illness or send a note with your child when he/she returns to school. |

Each child will bring home a binder each day. All important class papers and notes will be in thier folders. Please check and sign your students binder daily. Tuesday is our school wide news day. All important school news will come home in their Degan folder which is found in thier binder. |

Each volunteer MUST complete an on-line background check before they are eligible to volunteer. To volunteer at Degan, you must fill out a Be a Degan Volunteer form. Then you will be assigned to volunteer position at Degan. |

Children may purchase a lunch or bring one from home. |
|
We will have a snack time each day. Each student will need to pay $8.00 for snack. Teachers will purchase and pass out snacks daily. |
|
Each student is required to follow a school wide discipline plan. |
