Class Rules

At OSE, all "Star Students" are expected to behave according to the following five "Star Points":

1.  Respect:  Use good manners and kind words.
2.  Listen:  Be still, silent and speaker focused.
3.  Responsibility:  Be on time, follow directions and be honest.
4.  Self-Control:  Keep your hands, feet and objects to yourself.
5.  Quality:  Always do your best.

 

In Mrs. Willborn's class, all students begin the day with three cards in the behavior chart. One is green, one is yellow, and one is red.  If one of the "Star Points" is broken, they will have to pull their green card.  This is just a warning and no privileges will be lost.  However, if they break another "Star Point", they will have to pull their yellow card and will lose either 10 minutes of Center Time or recess time.  They also will not receive a stamp on their daily behavior calendar, and will instead receive a number that informs their parents as to which "Star Point" was broken.  On the last day of each month, there will be a treat chosen from the "Treasure Box" for those who received all stamps during the month!
