WHAT IS A WORD WALL?
Our word wall is a list of words that First Graders frequently use when writing. These words are introduced at the rate of 5 per week. These words can not be misspelled in any writing that they do since the words are always visible in the room. Word wall words often don't fit into "easy" spelling patterns. These words are reviewed weekly and used to add more words to their written work. Students should also be able to quickly recognize and read these common sight words. This page will be updated weekly as new words are added.
