Prepare speech early enough to be able to practice
the speech in front of others. Use a note card if you wish (1
3x5 note card
written on one side only). Do not write entire speech on card.
Just a few notes to jog your memory. |

Practice your speech in front of others. This will help you
get use to human eyes watching you. It also will give you feedback.
Give a copy of the grading paradigms that are given with each
speech to whoever is watching your speech. Video record or tape
record your speech for additional help. |
| Take Good
Notes |
It is very impiortant that you take good notes from the lectures.
Keep these in your notebook/folder. If you are absent then get
the notes from a reliable student and also come in for tutoring
so that I can explain the notes. If you need help with notes
come to tutoring. |
| Do the Book
Assignments |
You are given several assignments from the textbook. It is
very important that you finish these assignments and put your
work in your notebook/folder. You will have notebook checks with
random questions from these assignments |

If you need help with anything you need to come in for tutoring.
A sign up sheet is on the wall by the door. Just tell me when
you want help or need to make up work and I will be there for you. |
