you browse through this website, you will learn about some
of the technology resources available at our school. |

Morningside Elementary has integrated technology
into our educational program. We are connected to a Wide
Area Network through fiber optics. Each classroom has internet
access as well as access to our Local Area Network. We currently
have a computer lab of 29 computers and over 200 classroom
computers that are also connected to the internet.

| Our teachers are actively learning more about teaching
with technology in their classrooms and the lab setting. We
have many available educational programs covering the subjects
of Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies and Writing.
The LISD technology department provides training throughout
the year for the faculty. Many Morningside teachers have
been awarded laptops as recognition for successfully
passing a series of tests and attending related workshops. |

| We have a teacher technologist, Lisa Vaughn,
assigned to our campus.. She is present once a week and helps
teachers with training and special projects. |

| All teachers at Morningside will have a web page
that will help inform you of what is going on in their classroom
posted by the end of the first six weeks of school. At Morningside
Elementary, we continualy strive for new ways to integrate
technology into the learning process. |
