It starts off with Lieutenant Commander  Ambrose  getting recruited to train Spartan III’s.  Yet he has to clear the planet of Onyx for a base.  Once he is done establishing.  He looks for recruits for Spartan III’s. A group of kids that will be trained for many years. He trains beta and alpha company.   Beta company has been wiped out. Alpha Company only has 2 survivors from operation Torpedo. A secret operation that is best to read.  Back on earth the covenant are besieging earth. The Spartans II’s are almost the only thing holding them  at bay. They receive a message to send Spartans to Onyx. Then they decide to steal a covenant vessel because they fly faster. Also a professor and Spartan steal a stealth ship and

ride to Onyx. A UNSC battle group of destroyers, cruisers and a stealth ship battle a group of covenant carriers, destroyers, and cruisers. The stealth ship lays a nuclear mine field. The mine field is triggered. Only  2 covenant ships survive the blast. Then covenant reinforcements arrive and destroy all of the ships except the stealth ship. The stealth ship eludes their sensors and drives away.  An ancient force is awoken.  The covenant send ground forces to onyx They find out the core holds a secret but first they must reach their fellow Spartans. The Spartans first must take out the drones by destroying the facility that makes them. They then take out the drones and rescue their fellow Spartans. Once they finish that they hustle

to the core and set up a position at the entrance to the core. A force of covenant is sent and takes 2 Spartans lives. Kurt decides to send the rest of the Spartans inside the core. The core closes so Kurt has to stay behind. The covenant are marching closer he decides that he will use nukes. So he sacrifices himself for the other Spartans.
