There are many reasons Alex wanted to find Scorpia, one is to learn if his father once once worked for them, two to learn how his father died, three, to learn what Scorpia is. The night of the party, Alex sneaks in and gets into a room, then sees a tiger rug on the floor, then two people come in and Alex looks for a place to hide. When he hears the two people talking he over hears them talking about something called invisible sword. After the two people leave, the rug tiger gets up and growls. Alex is stunned and is wondering why a tiger is here in a room away from its home. Then he starts looking around the room for a place to hide. The desk in the back of the room was the only place, when he runs the tiger started chasing him. Then, Alex leaped behind the desk and the tiger jumped and missed.
