Reading Strategies
What to do when you're stuck:
1. Go back and read it again.
2. Think what might make sense in that sentence.
3. Look at the pictures to help you.
4. Start sounding out the word.
5. Jump over that word and come back to, then it might make sense.
6. Search the word, the line, and your mind for what might make sense.
7. Think, "What else do I know that might help?" (maybe there's a smaller word within that word or it has the same spelling pattern as another word I know.)
