About Ms. Butler
Hello! I am Ms. Butler. I have been teaching for fourteen years. I graduated from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia, with a Bachelors of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies. I have also received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with Technology Integration from The University of Pheonix. I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade, and Third Grade, with this being my first year in fourth grade. I have been teaching in Lewisville ISD for the past 4 years, I am ESL (English as a Second Language) Certified. I am always looking for ways to use technology in our learning.
I was born in St. Louis, Missouri. I moved to the Dallas area in 2005 with my three children. The oldest is in the Marines currently stationed in San Diego and deployed in Afganistan right now. My youngest two live here with me. My middle son is a sophomore at LHS North and in the marching band (GO FIGHTING FARMERS). My daughter is in Fourth Grade. She plays soccer.
We enjoy all there is to do here, expecially going to the Dallas Cowboys Football games. I am an avid sports fan. Baseball, football, and basketball are my most favorite. This past December I ran and completed the White Rock Half Marathon. I hope to be able to do it again next year.
